  Hi Everyone,
As I pointed out last time, this is only my second time corresponding w/
you all.  As a result, I've acquired a few different songs that I've been looking up. Such as... Pity The Man, Only One Life and Bring Back the Cross.  One more and that is "The Old Ditch Digger".  This one is about a high class lady taking a trip to the down & outers.  When she does she notices an old guy digging in a ditch, but at the same time, singing "A Child OFTHE KING"  Of course she doesen't understanding why, or how it applies to him. So the song/story con'ts on with an ongoing conversation w/him and every so often he sings the next verse/chorus.  It is very good!!  What do you think, anybody recognize these?       Thanx ,   Musiclover

Hi, I saw your message on the hymn lyrics message board and was wondering if you could email me the lyrics to the songs you mentioned,
Pity The Man, Only One Life and Bring Back the Cross. and "The Old Ditch Digger".

My mom is a Pentecostal Minister in Southern Illinois....she is 82.  She sings at churches and I just talked to her today.  She was asking me if I had a copy of the song, "The Old Ditch Digger".....it's the one you mentioned, with the speaking parts.  I remember hearing her sing the other ones you listed also.

We are also looking for the lyrics to:
our lord is coming back to earth again   and
along the stairway to heaven tonight

I have lots of old old hymns too, if you are looking for any.  Have you heard "Daniel Prayed" ?  It's very good too.
Love,
Cookie Holderbach

please add me, if you are on Facebook .
